PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a user's necessity of an install of a driver compatible with a peripheral device every time when the peripheral device such as a scanner is added or models of a peripheral device are exchanged for an image processing device such as a personal computer (PC), leads to user's time and effort of a management, and a lack of convenience. SOLUTION: In an image processing system 1 with a plurality of scanners 4 connected to a PC2, the PC2 has a driver 203 including: an application interface portion 204 commonly receiving operation information required for an operation of the scanner 4; and a user interface control portion 205 performing an operation instruction to the scanner 4 by setting the application interface portion 204. The scanner 2 has: an operation information storage portion 216 storing the operation information of the scanner 4; and a server 215 transmitting the operation information from the operation information storage portion 216 to the PC2.
