PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell for improving an output. SOLUTION: This fuel cell includes a membrane electrode assembly having a structure in which an electrolyte membrane is held between an anode and a cathode, a collector holding the membrane electrode assembly and having an anode current collecting part which passes a current to the anode and a cathode current collecting part which passes a current to the cathode on a base insulating layer, and a conductive layer disposed in at least one of spaces between the anode and the anode current collecting part and between the cathode and the cathode current collecting part, while the layer has conductivity, and its hardness obtained by a durometer hardness test (type A durometer) regulated by JIS K 6253:2006 is 60 or less.
