PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incandescent lamp which sufficiently has high illumination and can attain suitable light distribution on a light-irradiated surface, and also to provide a light source device having high use efficiency of light emitted from the incandescent lamp. SOLUTION: The incandescent lamp has a filament formed by being arranged in a row at a plane state in a bulb so as to arrange a plurality of filament segments made of a single coil made by winding one wire at a plane state along an axial direction of the bulb, and a pitch width of the filament segments arranged at the center of the bulb is smaller than a pitch width of the filament segments arranged on both sides. The light source device is constituted of the incandescent lamp and a condenser, and the incandescent lamp is arranged in an attitude extending along the center axis of the condenser wherein two filament segments positioned on the center of the bulb are located by sandwiching the center axis of the condenser.
