PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for obtaining good clicking feeling, and easily performing lock releasing operation. SOLUTION: First and second housings 10, 50 are engaged with each other so that their mutual relative positions are displaced to an engagement holding position and an engagement release preparation position. A bendable and cantilever-like lock arm 15 and a deflection regulating part 26 are formed in the first housing 10. A locking hole 56 to hold the first and second housings 10, 50 in a separation regulating state by abutting on the lock arm 15 at the engagement holding position, and a releasing part 53 are formed in the second housing 50. The deflection regulating part 26 advances into the deflection space 22 of the lock arm 15 and brings the lock arm 15 into a practically supported state by both ends, when the first and second housings 10, 50 are in the middle of engagement and at the engagement holding position, and when the mutual positions of the first and second housings 10, 50 are displaced to the engagement release preparation position, it retreats from the deflection space 22 of the lock arm 15 by interference with the releasing part 53.
