PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire improving durability of bead parts by making separation prevention at a carcass end part and carcass extraction prevention compatible in a high level. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire is equipped with: the pair of bead parts 1 made by burying a bead core 2 constituted of a plurality of bead wires 6 extending in a tire peripheral direction; a pair of side wall parts extending from the bead parts 1 to the tire radial direction outside; a tread part extending over between both of the side wall parts; and the carcass 5 extending in a toroidal shape over each of these parts and formed by folding back both end parts around the bead core 2 from the tire width direction inside to the outside. The bead wires 6 have engaging parts 8 engaged mutually complementarily to the adjacent bead wires 6. In the state of the tire being mounted on a standard rim R and being provided with the maximum air pressure, a tire radial direction distance D between a rim diameter line position RL and a folded end 9 of the carcass 5 is in the range of 2.5 to 5.0% of a rim diameter ϕ of the standard rim R.
