PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method evaluating hand-feeling flexibility and hand-feeling flexibility of a hair treatment agent, and useful for searching a new high flexible component. SOLUTION: The method for evaluating flexibility of a hair includes the steps of: measuring strain stress in the range from 0 to 0.5% in a drawing rate of the hair, calculating a work volume in the range from 0.1 up to 0.5% in the drawing rate, and evaluating the flexibility of the hair by using this work volume. The method for evaluating the flexibility of the hair contains strain stress in a specified drawing rate in the range from 0.1 to 0.5% in the drawing rate of the hair, and evaluating the flexibility of the hair by using this strain stress.
