摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detector detecting the current position of a moving body with high accuracy, without using a vehicle speed pulse signal. SOLUTION: In this position detector, a roll direction angular velocity sensor 11, a pitch direction angular velocity sensor 15, and a yaw direction angular velocity sensor 16 detect the angular velocities in triaxial directions of the moving body. An attitude angle calculation processing part 13 calculates an attitude angle of the moving body, based on the angular velocities detected in the roll direction sensors 11, pitch direction sensors 15, and yaw direction angular velocity sensors 16. A traveling direction acceleration sensor 10 detects the acceleration in the traveling direction of the moving body, and a travel distance calculation part 12 detects a travel distance of the moving body, based on the acceleration detected in the acceleration sensor 10 and the attitude angle of the moving body calculated in the attitude angle calculation processing part 13. A position calculation part 14 calculates the current position of the moving body, based on the attitude angle of the moving body calculated in the attitude angle calculation processing part 13 and the travel distance of the moving body calculated in the travel distance calculation part 12.
