PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bullet detection device for detecting a plurality of bullets simultaneously passing through detection screens, and a bullet detection method. SOLUTION: Measurement devices 4a to 4c detect passing position coordinates of the plurality of bullets simultaneously passing through three detection screens 2a to 2c arranged along carrying directions of the bullets on the detection screens, for each detection screen. A measurement processing device 8 calculates the number, trajectories, and velocities of the bullets simultaneously passing through the detection screens by using the passing position coordinates detected by the measurement devices 4a to 4c.
