PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently spray negative ions generated by a negative ion generator to foods, especially to vegetables in a vegetable chamber. SOLUTION: This refrigerator includes the vegetable chamber 3 for storing the vegetables in which a storage container 14 is arranged in the storage chamber positioned below a lateral partition plate 11 which is a fixing member of the refrigerator, and the storage container 14 forming the body of the vegetable chamber 3 is a drawer type container. The negative ion generator 17 generating the negative ions is placed oppositely to a discharge port 15b discharging the negative ions to the storage container 14 at the back of the lateral partition plate 11. The negative ions from the negative ion generator 17 are directly discharged in the storage container together with cold air through the discharge port without being passed through a duct, and sprayed to the vegetables directly in a shower form.
