PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem without complicating the structure or increasing the number of parts, that coating on a decorative surface of a rail base is removed and an abrasion mark is left when the door is slidingly moved and an inner surface of an extending edge thereof scrapes against the decorative surface. SOLUTION: The door 4 having a sash roller 49 is slidingly movably supported on rails 3 arranged above and below. At least one of the rails is provided with the rail base 31 obtained by forming a decorative surface 371 on a vertical wall 37 which is visible from a front side of the door, and a rail body 32 arranged on the rail base in a manner of rotatably contacting and supporting the sash roller of the door. The door is provided with the extending edge 47 extending in a manner of covering part of the decorative surface of the rail base. In the door device which is thus structured, a protecting member 323 which is interposed between the decorative surface of the rail base and the extending edge of the door, and is less affected by the abrasion mark than the decorative surface is integrally arranged on the rail body.
