PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device of an LED lamp for illumination which is a power supply device for converting phase-controlled AC power into power for power supply of the LED lamp and supplying it, and does not increase power loss and securely prevents erroneous operation of a phase control device caused by an inrush current. SOLUTION: The power supply device includes an noise preventing capacitor C1 connected in parallel to a pair of input terminals 3, 4 to which the AC power is supplied, an inrush current limiting circuit 5 connected between the one input terminal 3 and the capacitor C1, and a conversion circuit 7 for converting the AC power passing the capacitor C1 into the power of the power supply of the LED lamp 2. The inrush current limiting circuit 5 includes a circuit in which a coil L1 and resistance R1 are connected in parallel. When the phase-controlled AC power is supplied, the inrush current flowing in the capacitor C1 immediately after conduction is limited by the inrush current limiting circuit 5.
