The present invention relates to an electric compressor with an inverter, in which the inverter for variably regulating the rotating speed of a compressor driving motor is installed in an inverter housing mounted on a compressor housing, wherein said inverter comprises: an upper main board for supplying power to the driving motor; a lower bus bar assembly including a bus bar electrically connected to the main board, and an insulator covering the bus bar; a low power element mounted on the main body; and a high power element which is mounted on the insulator and connected to the bus bar, and which consumes power at a relatively higher rate than the low power element. The electric compressor with the inverter according to the present invention is provided with the bus bar assembly arranged separately from the main board, to thereby integrate the bus bar for applying power to the high power element and reduce the size of the main board as compared to conventional main boards, so as to obtain a compressor with further compact outer dimensions.
