PURPOSE: An image display device and an operation method thereof for displaying an object in a display method are provided to control the object by the use of a space remote controller. CONSTITUTION: A control unit executes a text widget(S400). The controller displays a text by the execution of the text widget on the display(S405). If a pointing signal is inputted from a space remote controller, a coordinate calculator calculates a coordinate from the pointing signal(S410). The controller displays the pointer corresponding to the pointing signal on the display(S415). The controller executes the widget corresponding to the text(S420).
