摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel visible-light responsive composition that exhibits a strong photocurrent response to visible light irradiation and can be a photocatalyst or a photosensor. <P>SOLUTION: The visible-light responsive composition composed of Fe, Ti, M and oxygen with M being a species of elements selected from the group consisting of Ca and Bi, is characterized in that the ratios of the individual elements contained therein (molar ratios) relative to the total of Fe, Ti and M representing 100% are within the following ranges: Fe in 81 to 90%, Ti in 9 to 10%, and M in 0.1 to 10%. There are disclosed a photoelectrode, a photosensor and a photocatalyst each constituted of the visible-light responsive composition, and a method of electrolyzing water using the photosensor or the photocatalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
