<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen production apparatus capable of preventing the high-temperature deterioration of a catalyst caused by heater abnormality, and stably supplying the optimal hydrogen for the operation of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen production apparatus 1 includes at least: a reforming part 20 for producing a hydrogen-containing gas by a reforming reaction of a raw material and steam; a modifying 25 having a modifying catalyst for reacting carbon monoxide incorporated in the hydrogen-containing gas formed in the reforming part 20 and steam; a modifying temperature detecting part 17 for detecting the modifying temperature of the modifying part 25; a heater 24 for heating the modifying part 25; and an operation control part 16. The operation control part 16 controls the operation of the heater 24 based on the reforming temperature detected by the reforming temperature detecting part 17, and at the same time, determines whether the operation of the heater 24 is proper or not based on the modifying temperature detected by the modifying temperature detecting part 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
