PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building capable of fully making use of naturally generated heat and obtaining satisfactory effects of cooling through ventilation even if an outside air temperature is markedly high without a much increase in cost of construction. SOLUTION: This building is constituted to dispense with a special floor structure by letting outside air through the concrete duct 6 buried into the ground to circulate in a duct 12C in an external wall through an underfloor space 18 and the lower temperature of the concrete duct 6 when outside air temperature in summer is the highest below the outside air temperature by burying the concrete duct 6 deep enough in the ground. Thus, the outside air can be cooled by the concrete duct 6 even if the outside air temperature is markedly high, and a living room space 17 inside the duct 12C in the external wall can be satisfactorily cooled by letting the cooled outside air to pass through the duct 12C in the external wall so that a sufficient effect of cooling through ventilation can be achieved irrespective of a markedly high outside air temperature.
