PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a verge structure for a roof, adjustable in working dimension in the direction of the eaves ridge of a gable tile 1 without cutting the gable tile 1, having good appearance when the gable tile 1 is mounted, and achieving satisfactory waterproof. SOLUTION: This verge structure of the roof uses the gable tile 1 including a gable tile body piece 2 placed on the upper face of the roof and a gable tile side piece 3 suspended from the side end of the gable tile body piece 2 to cover the side face of the roof. The eaves side end of the gable tile 1 on a ridge side is overlapped on the ridge side end of the gable tile 1 on eaves side, and the plurality of gable tiles 1 are mounted in the direction of eaves ridge. The gable tile side piece 3 has a recessed step 5 recessed in the vertical direction to the direction of eaves ridge on the ridge side end and the eaves side end of the tile 1 on the ridge side is overlapped on the recessed step 5 of the gable tile 1 on the eaves side to adjust the width of overlapping in the direction of eaves ridge freely.
