<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control apparatus which, when a vehicle receives crosswind, controls a yaw moment generated by the crosswind to a desired magnitude thereby making the actual behavior of the vehicle approach a target behavior. <P>SOLUTION: When the vehicle receives crosswind, a target rate x* of a rate x being a value calculated by dividing the yaw moment by lateral force is determined to a size at which the actual behavior of the vehicle is set to a target behavior. The crosswind acts on a point of application of force decided by vehicle shape, so that it is possible to obtain a crosswind yaw moment acting on the vehicle by the crosswind based on the strength of the crosswind. Then, the actuator is controlled so that the vehicle receives a control yaw moment being a value calculated by subtracting the crosswind yaw moment from the target yaw moment being a value calculated by multiplying the strength of the crosswind by a target rate x*.
