<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specific color detection circuit capable of detecting a desired color within a desired color range by performing color detection control by luminance difference and detection range control on a color difference plane. <P>SOLUTION: The specific color detection circuit 10 represents an RGB input pixel and an RGB color signal desired to be detected with three-dimensional coordinates, calculates, as a first distance, a distance between the foot of a perpendicular that goes down from the coordinates of the RGB input pixel and an origin with respect to a straight line that connects coordinates whose RGB ratio is the same as that of the coordinates of the RGB color signal desired to be detected or the RGB color signal desired to be detected and the origin, also calculates, as a second distance, a distance between the coordinates of the RGB input pixel and the foot of the perpendicular, and further detects the hue of the signal of the RGB input pixel. The specific color detection circuit 10 generates a detection area in a hue direction in accordance with the first distance and the hue of the signal of the RGB input pixel, calculates a third distance from the first distance in accordance with the detection area, and determines that the RGB input pixel is within a predetermined color detection area when the third distance is larger than the second distance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
