PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic shock absorber optimal for expecting an improvement in its versatility, by permanently guaranteeing expansion operability, without deteriorating lubricating oil stored in an oil reservoir recess by mixing-in of foreign matter. SOLUTION: This pneumatic shock absorber includes a cylinder body 1 for storing gas being a working fluid, a piston body 3 slidably arranged in this cylinder body 1, a rod body 2 projectably-retreatably inserted into the cylinder body 1 by joining this piston body 3 to the tip side, and the oil reservoir recess 5a arranged on the inner periphery of a head end part of the cylinder body 1, penetrating through the rod body 2 and storing the lubricating oil, and includes a checking means for preventing mixing of the foreign matter in the lubricating oil. This checking means is composed of a partition wall 6 for partitioning a sliding surface with the piston body 3 in the inner periphery of the cylinder body 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
