摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device where clamping operation is performed reliably. SOLUTION: A cam mechanism 9, interlocking a cam slider 8 and a traverse chassis 6, comprises a cam groove 9a formed in the cam slider 8, and a cam pin 9c which is integrated with the front surface of the traverse chassis 6 in a projecting state and fits into a vertical guide groove 10 through the cam groove 9a. The one inner wall surface 10A of the guide groove 10 is divided into the upper part and the lower part, and the lower inner wall surface 10a thereof is expanded outward by a predetermined interval α as compared with an upper inner wall surface 10b. The cam pin 9c positioned at the lower end within the guide groove 10 is made to face the lower inner wall surface 10a with a clearance (t) therebetween. In the tray-in process of the clamping operation, a tray 1 is moved back by a low-torque motor. The tray-in process is switched to a clamping process by timer control to raise (c) the traverse chassis 6 by a high-torque motor, so that the cam pin 9c positioned at the upper end within the guide groove 10 is pressed to the upper inner wall surface 10b.
