The present invention relates to a structure of an animation font file and to a text-displaying method for a mobile terminal, in which font images are stored through a basic mapping table and an extended mapping table to display, in each frame, different font images for a single text datum, and the font images for input text data are sequentially displayed in each frame in accordance with a predetermined time period to produce an animation by simply applying font images within a restricted hardware resource without using images or video.
