The supply (1) has lubricant lines (8-10, 11a, 11b, 16a, 16b) through which lubricant is circulated. Two filter elements (19a, 19b) are arranged in the lubricant lines directly before main bearings (14a, 14b) and connecting rod bearings (17a, 17b) that are provided in an internal combustion engine. Each filter element is a fine filter such as sinter bronze fine filter. The filter elements are arranged at different positions in respective bearing supply lines (18a, 18b). An independent claim is also included for a method for lubricating a bearing.
