PURPOSE: An image display device and a control method thereof for conveniently using an object by the change of a display device are provided to reduce disturbance by the view of the image by the change of the display state of the object. CONSTITUTION: An image display device displays an object on a display(S410). The image display device increases the transparency of the object according to the pass of the time. The image display device gradually increases or decreases the size of the object. The object does not disrupt the view of the image. In case the image is displayed on the display, the image display varies the display mode of the object(S420).
