<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable capacitor whose lifetime can be prolonged by reducing mechanical consumption and whose electrostatic capacity can be finely adjusted even when movable resolution is relatively rough. <P>SOLUTION: The variable capacitor is constituted by providing a vacuum container 1 with two positive and negative current collecting conductors 11, 12 opposite each other, and fitting a plurality of fixed electrodes 2 to opposite surfaces of those current collecting conductors in parallel in a direction orthogonal to those current collecting conductors. The plurality of fixed electrodes each include an electrode part 13 on the side of the current collecting conductor 11 and a non-electrode part 14 on the side of the current collecting conductor 12, respectively. A plurality of movable electrodes 3 are arranged in parallel to the fixed electrodes without contacting the fixed electrodes, and move in a direction orthogonal to the current collecting conductors to vary the electrostatic capacity with area of overlapping between electrode parts of the movable electrodes and fixed electrodes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
