<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection pump having excellent durability enduring fuel high pressurization. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel injection pump includes: a plunger 20; housings 10, 32 having a cylindrical cylinder inner wall 34 reciprocatably supporting the plunger and forming a pressurization chamber 35 together with the plunger; a pressurization chamber wall member 73 provided on a side axially opposite to the plunger through the pressurization chamber and forming the pressurization chamber; a fuel suction passage 41 having a suction opening 37 opened in the pressurization chamber in order to suck fuel from the suction opening into the pressurization chamber; and a fuel delivery passage 81 having a delivery port 72 opened in the pressurization chamber in order to deliver the fuel pressurized in the pressurization chamber from the delivery port to the outside of the pressurization chamber. The delivery port 72 of the fuel delivery passage 81 is formed in the pressurization chamber wall member 73. The suction port 37 of the fuel suction passage 41 is formed in the housing 32. A check valve 50 having a valve seat portion 51 and covering the suction port and the peripheral portion thereof by seating the valve seat portion on the peripheral portion 36a of the suction port when fuel inside of the pressurization chamber is pressurized, is disposed inside of the pressurization chamber 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
