METHOD FOR CLEANING MOLD FOR VULCANIZATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning a mold for vulcanization which can quickly perform cleaning while minimizing the damage of a molding surface when the mold for vulcanization having a casting joint is cleaned. SOLUTION: Wet blast cleaning in which slurry mixed with water W and an abrasive P is sprayed on the surface on the inner circumference side of a piece 3 to be a molding surface is carried out in a first process. The molding surface excluding a minute clearance g formed in the casting joint M which is the boundary between a first piece block 5 and a second piece block 6 is cleaned. The minute clearance g is cleaned by carrying out plasma cleaning in a second process. Water cleaning is carried out in the third process to remove the residual materials of a fouling substance and the abrasive P which are removed in the first and second processes.
