PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic communication system capable of reproducing high quality sound, even when an audio signal on which a data signal is superimposed is reproduced. SOLUTION: A transmission device includes: a filter for cutting a high-frequency region of a musical sound signal; a data modulation section for converting a data code to a data signal of the high-frequency region; and a transmission section for transmitting a combined signal in which the musical sound signal and the data signal are combined. A receiving device includes: a receiving section for receiving the combined signal in which the data signal is superimposed on the musical sound signal with the high-frequency region being cut; a low pass filter (LPF) and a high pass filter (HPF) for separating the data signal and the musical sound signal from the combined signal; a data demodulation section for demodulating a data code from the separated data signal; and a high-frequency expansion section for interpolating the high-frequency region of the separated musical sound signal.
