PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper which especially improves a damping effect with respect to rapid operation. SOLUTION: A damper 3 includes a bottomed cylinder 30, a head 32 which is housed within the cylinder 30 to be movable in the axial direction, a cover 33 closing an opening side of the cylinder 30, a lead 31 which connects with the head 32 through a through-hole 33a formed in the cover 33 and slides in liquidtight with respect to the cover 33 in the axial direction of the cylinder 30, an energizing member 35 which is arranged between the bottom 30a of the cylinder 30 and the head 32, and energizes the head 32 toward a side opposite to the bottom 30a, and a viscous fluid 36 filled within the cylinder 30, wherein an opening, which can flow the viscous fluid 36 between the bottom 30a side of the cylinder 30 and cover 33, is formed in the head 32, and a valve 34, which is constructed so that it may cover at least one part of the opening of the head 32 by being deformed elastically, is arranged in the head 32.
