POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

A power supply system (1) of a hybrid vehicle (100) comprises a main power storage device (10-1), and a plurality of sub-power storage devices (10-2, 10-3) used selectively.  When the SOC of one of the plurality of sub-power storage devices (10-2, 10-3) goes below a predetermined level, an ECU (22) selects the one sub-power storage device as an object to be charged.  The ECU (22) controls a connecting section (18) such that the object to be charged is connected with a second converter (12-2).  Furthermore, the ECU (22) selects an HV mode as a drive mode.  In the HV mode, electric energy stored in an electric vehicle is sustained with electric power generated by means of an engine (36).
