PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a hydraulic rack gear housing cylinder tube for a steering system is provided to prevent the loss of material and save costs caused by a drawing process. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a hydraulic rack gear housing cylinder tube for a steering system comprises steps of: mounting a welded pipe material in a mold(S1), press-inserting core metal into the welded pipe material and linearly moving the core metal along the interior surface to reduce the thickness of the welded pipe material(S2), and taking the formed welded pipe material from the mold(S3). A first peripheral part and a second peripheral part are respectively formed in the front and rear sides of the welded pipe material in the moving direction of the core metal, wherein the outer diameter of the first peripheral part is greater than that of the second peripheral part.
