<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor actuator that achieves high-resolution rotational phase detection with high accuracy while preventing increase in size and deterioration with time. <P>SOLUTION: A signal formation means 100 of the motor actuator includes an output gear signal formation means 30 which is or is not brought into contact with first-third output gear fixing electrode members 32-34 along with rotation of an output gear rotational electrode member 31 provided coaxially to an output gear 134a, to form an output gear signal representing a rotational phase of the output gear 134a. It also includes a transmission gear signal formation means 20 which is or is not brought into contact with a transmission gear fixing electrode member 22 along with the rotation of a transmission gear rotational electrode member 21 provided coaxially to a transmission gear 133b, to form a transmission gear signal synchronized with the output gear signal.
