<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a direction of a sound source correctly in a system having a stationary noise sound source. <P>SOLUTION: A direction estimation device 1 of sound source which estimates the direction of the sound source using an eigenvector includes an acoustic signal input means (a microphone array 100) which inputs the acoustic signal, a correlation matrix calculation means (a correlation matrix calculation part 110) which calculates a correlation matrix of the input acoustic signal, and an eigenvector calculation means (an eigenvector calculation part 120) which calculates the eigenvector of the correlation matrix using the calculated correlation matrix.
