<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate-type ZnO-based single crystal scintillator whose emission amount is increased, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The emission amount of a laminate-type ZnO-based single crystal scintillator 110 is significantly increased by manufacturing a laminate of a ZnO-based semiconductor with different band gaps and by making a layer with small band gap have a thickness of 5-50μm, into which thickness ionizing radiation, such asα-rays and electron rays can enter.
