摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce the deformation of a building in an earthquake, easily apply also to existing buildings, and effectively absorb vibration energy and prevent the axial compression force of a column from being excessively increased. SOLUTION: In this building having a vibration control reinforcing structure, a frame formed of left and right columns and upper and lower beams includes a brace one end of which is supported on one of the upper and lower beams and the other end of which extends in the direction of the other beam, and a damper is interposed between the other end of the brace and the other beam. The damper is operated through the relative displacement of the upper and lower beams in the horizontal direction. In the deformation area of the damper equal to or higher than a predetermined level, the reaction force of the damper against the rate of deformation in the direction in which the deformation increases is smaller than that against the rate of deformation in the direction in which the deformation decreases.
