RECEIVER, NAVIGATION APPARATUS, AND BROADCASTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver, navigation apparatus and broadcasting system in which, when recording video images, the video images can be recorded completely within an irreducibly minimum capacity and can be recorded and viewed efficiently.

SOLUTION: A receiver includes: a tuner section 202 for receiving a program to be distributed and electronic program guide (EPG) information including a broadcast starting time of each spot information introduced in the program; an EPG information extracting section 206 for extracting the EPG information received by the tuner section; an EPG processing section 209 for extracting the broadcast starting time of the video-recording reserved spot information from the EPG information extracted by the EPG information extracting section; and a reservation control section 210 for video-recording the program received by the tuner section in accordance with the broadcast starting time extracted by the EPG processing section.
