PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of defective ejection caused by the mixing and sticking of a coloring ink and the mist of an improvement liquid, because the mist generated at the ejection of the improvement liquid floats in a recorder and sticks to an ejection opening for the coloring ink in a liquid ejecting apparatus that performs printing by ejecting the coloring ink and improvement liquid. SOLUTION: The liquid ejecting method in which ejection of the liquid is carried out by using the liquid ejecting head having a first ejection opening for ejecting the ink that contains a color material and a second ejection opening for ejecting the improvement liquid that improves the recording performance of the ink includes a process of ejecting the ink from the first ejection opening by driving a first energy generating element, and a process of ejecting the improvement liquid from the second ejection opening by driving a second energy generating element in a state that a level of the improvement liquid at the second ejection opening advances with respect to a direction in which the liquid is ejected from a level of the ink at the first ejection opening at the drive of the first energy generating element in the process.
