PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery terminal with improved fastening accuracy. SOLUTION: The battery terminals 10, 10A, 10B have an open-ended ring-shaped electrode retention section 11 for surrounding the periphery of a battery post 70, a pair of fastening sections 12B, 12A projecting from both ends of the electrode retention section 11 and arranged in opposition to each other, and a fastening tool 60 making both fastening sections 12B, 12A close to each other by being engaged with both fastening sections 12B, 12A and consequently fixing to the battery post 70 by tapering the diameter of the electrode retention section 11. A support surface 18 opposed to a nut 62 is formed on the upper fastening section 12B. Guide sections 24, 24A, 24B having a form wherein an end is stuck out to a location exceeding the nut 62 and guiding a tool 50 to the nut 62 are formed on the support surface 18.
