PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermo-responsive steam trap which opens and closes a large valve mouth by setting off the fluid pressure acting on a valve member without causing the steam to leak out. SOLUTION: The thermo-responsive steam trap is configured so that an inlet 1, a valve chest 6, and an outlet 2 are formed from a casing comprising a body 3 and a lid 4, a valve seat member 7 having a valve hole 9 to put the valve chest 6 in communication with the outlet 2 is formed between the valve chest 6 and the outlet 2, and a temperature controlling element 12 to open and close the valve hole 9 by driving the valve member 16 using an expanding/contracting medium 14 is installed inside the valve chest 6, wherein the valve seat member 7 has a cylindrical shape in which both ends are opened to the valve chest 6 and the periphery is in communication with the outlet 2 through an exhaust hole 8, while the valve member 16 has a cylindrical shape in which one end is opened, the other end is blocked with a wall member 18, an annular valve face 19 on the open end side opens and closes the valve hole 9 on the open end side of the valve seat member 7, and the periphery on the wall member side at the other end slides air-tightly on the inside surface on the open side at the other end of the valve seat member 7.
