ADM(AMYOPATHIC DERMATOMYOSITIS) ANTIBODY EPITOPE PEPTIDE AND USE OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test method for easily detecting the presence/absence of ADM contraction, using a peptide having a specific bindability to an ADM-peculiar antibody. SOLUTION: The test method for detecting ADM includes: contacting a subject-in-question-derived specimen with an artificially synthesized peptide bindable specifically to an antibody specifically present in an ADM-contracted patient through antigen-antibody reaction, wherein the peptide contains an amino acid sequence designated by Sequence No.1 or 2 or a partial amino acid sequence in either one of these amino acid sequences; incubating the specimen being in contact with the peptide under such conditions as to be enable the antigen-antibody reaction between the peptide and the antibody in the specimen; measuring the amount of antibodies derived from the specimen bound to the peptide after the incubation; and deciding the presence/absence of the ADM contraction of the subject based on the measurement on the amount of the antibodies.
