PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detection accuracy for a synchronization timing based on a quantized correlation value, when the synchronization timing is detected based on a correlation value calculated between a received signal and a reference code string.SOLUTION: The receiver 1 includes a correlation value detector 17, which detects a correlation power value between a received baseband signal train and a reference bit train, and a synchronization timing detector 19, which detects a timing selected between t1 and t2 as a synchronization timing of the digital received signal, based on the correlation power values detected at a first sampling timing t1, a second sampling timing t2, a third sampling timing t3 and a fourth sampling timing t4, respectively, wherein the largest correlation power value is detected at the first sampling timing, and wherein the second sampling timing t2 is adjacent to the first sampling timing t1, wherein the third sampling timing t3 precedes the earlier between the timings for n (n is a natural number), and wherein the fourth sampling timing t4 is one delayed more, between t1 and t2, by n sampling intervals. |
