PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shielding article which is superior in light resistance, moisture resistance, and heat resistance and has a long life and a method for manufacturing the heat shielding article and to provide an outdoor building member using the heat shielding article.SOLUTION: In the heat shielding article having a heat ray interception layer containing a single substance of gold, silver, copper, aluminum, or a metal made of an alloy comprising these metals on the side of one surface of a base material, a water vapor-barrier layer is provided between the heat ray interception layer and a heat ray incidence surface, and a layer containing a siloxane bond-containing composition prepared by the hydrolysis of a hydrolyzable silicon compound is provided between the water vapor-barrier layer and the heat ray incidence surface. |
