<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mislaying prevention device and a mislaying warning method for an individual's belongings allowing for appropriately issuing a warning against the mislaying of an individual's belongings in a car only when use of a car shared by a plurality of persons has ended. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises: a power supply stop detection part 11 for detecting the fact that an accessory power source is OFF; an individual's belongings detection part 13 for detecting the fact that an individual's belongings are mounted on an in-car device; a registered location detection part 12 for detecting the fact that the present position of the car corresponds to the location registered beforehand; and a state of mislaying determination part 24 for outputting a warning signal when the detection of the three facts, or that an accessory power source is OFF, that an individual's belongs are mounted on an in-car device, and that the present position of the car corresponds to the location registered beforehand, is simultaneously made.
