PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently dispose a rotatingly transmitting shaft 60 forming a transmission means for transmitting the movement of a shift lever. SOLUTION: The rotatingly transmitting shaft 60 is installed on the radial outer side of a front stage unit 7 to an intermediate stage unit 8 forming a planetary gear type transmission 2 at a position twisted relative to the center axis of the planetary gear type transmission 2 between the planetary gear type transmission 2 and a valve body 23. Thus, the lowering of the strength of parts and the increasing of the downwardly projected amount of the continuously variable transmission due to the installation of the rotatingly transmitting shaft 60 can be prevented from occurring, and the traveling performance of a vehicle having the continuously variable transmission on a rough road can be increased or a cabin space can be increased.
