<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit for an air conditioner capable of preventing catching of a lead wire connected to a compressor between the compressor and a terminal cover and preventing damage of the lead wire. <P>SOLUTION: The outdoor unit includes the compressor 2 with an upper shell 4 and the terminal cover 3. The terminal cover 3 is constituted of two components which are a case 12 and a lid 13 attachable/detachable to/from the case 12. The case 12 includes: a terminal storage part 6 covering a terminal 5 provided in the upper shell 4; a hole 9 to which a stud bolt 7 provided in the upper shell 4 is inserted and which is fixed by a nut 8; and a taking-out port 11 for taking out the lead wire 10 connected to the terminal 5. The lid 13 covers the terminal storage part 6 and the upper side of the taking-out port 11. After confirmation that the lead wire 10 is not caught between the case 12 and the compressor 2, the lid 13 can be mounted, so as to prevent the lead wire 10 from being caught between the terminal cover 3 and the compressor 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
