摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing the &alpha;-chain of hepatocyte growth factor or an N-terminal fragment thereof (NK polypeptide) by expression of a nucleic acid encoding the NK polypeptide in a microbial host cell, isolation of inclusion bodies containing the NK polypeptide in a denatured form, solubilization of the inclusion bodies and regeneration of the denaturated NK polypeptide. <P>SOLUTION: Expression yield is improved by the method characterized in that at least one of the codons of amino acids selected from the group consisting of codons at positions 33, 35 and 36 is CGT in the nucleic acid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
