<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing with a sensor capable of accurately detecting a load acting on the bearing for a wheel using a compact structure. <P>SOLUTION: A sensor unit 20 is provided in a stationary-side member out of the outer member 1 and the inner member 2 of the bearing for the wheel. The sensor unit 20 includes a strain generation member 21 having two or more contact/fixing portions which are brought into contact with and fixed to the stationary-side member; and one or more sensors 22, attached to this strain generation member 21 to detect the strain of the strain generation member. An A/D converter 29, which directly performs analog-to-digital conversion of the output signal of the sensor 22 and has a resolution of at least 20 bits, is provided on the bearing for the wheel. An estimation means 30 is provided for estimating the load applied to the wheel from this analog-to-digital conversion output signal of the sensor 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
