<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joined optical element the thickness of which can further be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The joined optical element 1A includes a convex lens 2 and a concave lens 3. The convex lens 2 has one surface 2b and the other surface 2a forming a convex surface rotationally symmetric with respect to an optical axis. The convex lens 2 has an edge 21 with a thickness which is substantially zero. The concave lens 3 has a concave surface 3a bonded with the one surface 2b of the convex lens 2. Preferably, the circumferential portion 31 of the concave lens 3 extends radially outward beyond the convex lens 2, to such an extent that it is located within an area surrounded by an extension zone being an extension of the other surface 2a of the convex lens 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
