<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the stability of shake correction of an image in an image sensing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This image sensing apparatus has angular velocity sensors 11 and 12 for detecting shakes in yaw and pitch directions perpendicular to each other respectively, highpass filters 24 and 25 in which a cutoff frequency is variable and which cuts off the low frequency components of outputs of the angular velocity sensors, correction calculating circuits 28 and 29 for calculating corrections for correcting the shakes in the yaw and pitch directions respectively based on outputs of the highpass filters, a panning/tilt determining circuit 30 for controlling the cutoff frequency of the highpass filters based on the corrections calculated by the correction calculating circuits, and correcting means 2, 31 and 32 for correcting the shakes based on the corrections calculated by the correction calculating circuits.
