PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging station capable of giving a driver a guide for the waiting time of charging. SOLUTION: The charging station includes a receiving unit 12a for receiving information transmitted from an electric vehicle and including a type of a battery installed on the electric vehicle, residual charging capacity and the desired charging capacity; a computing unit 14 for computing a charging waiting time required, until completion of charging on the basis of the information received by the receiving unit; and a transmitting unit 12b for transmitting the charging waiting time computed by the computing unit, to the electric vehicle.
